Who We Are

Life & Will Ministries was founded in 2019 and continues to grow through the shared passion for faith, hope, and transformation that guides its mission.

J. Brian W. Horn (“Bubba”)

Founder, Life and Will Ministries

After losing his roommate to a fentanyl overdose in 2019, Brian Horn founded Life and Will Ministries to bring spiritual healing to addiction recovery. Since then, his faith-based outreach has reached over 3,000 individuals, with more than 700 coming to faith in Jesus. In 2024, he launched 3rd Step Smokehouse, a food truck that empowers people in early recovery through employment and mentorship. Brian also leads Newport Financial Group, Inc., and is a proud husband, father, and grandfather—living proof of redemption and purpose through faith.

Brian Marks

Founder, Life and Will Ministries

Since joining Life and Will Ministries in August 2023, Brian Marks has been a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the team. It has been a true privilege for him to witness God’s hand in the rapid growth of the ministry and its expanding reach to individuals navigating difficult times.

Brian has found great joy in observing the transformation that occurs when people either discover faith in Christ for the first time or experience a powerful renewal of their existing relationship. Seeing this change in people’s lives—moving from struggle to hope is amazing.

Life and Will Ministries has also had a deep and positive influence on Brian’s personal journey. Motivated by this personal impact, he is committed to continuing his work and sharing that same message of faith, hope, and transformation with others within the ministry’s community.

Additionally, he served as the former Chairman of the Los Angeles Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society, an international legal organization dedicated to the promotion of Judeo-Christian ethics in the practice of law. Callister is the father of seven children and currently resides in Corona Del Mar, California.

Abelino “Ab” Garcia

Team Leader, Life and Will Ministries

Ab joined Life and Will Ministries in the summer of 2023 after connecting with Brian and Bubba through the ministry’s outreach. What began as a visit from Bubba soon grew into a friendship and a shared calling to help others find recovery through faith.

With experience as an Account Executive and Sales Manager across various business service industries, Ab now supports the ministry’s operations—helping manage websites, communications, and daily tasks that strengthen its outreach and mission.

He feels blessed to serve alongside his friends and to witness how God continues to change lives through Life and Will. For Ab, using his gifts to help others grow closer to God and discover hope in recovery is both a privilege and a purpose.
